In January 2019, our small newsletter began as The Small Water Anglers and featured industry expert authors who wrote about fishing small and protected waters. As our subscriber list grew tremendously over the next year, we realized that we had the opportunity to build a platform for those engaged in all small water sports. Many of the best experiences are spent on the rivers, lakes, and inshore areas of heartland and coastal regions of America. The Small Water Sportsman was created to give like-minded outdoors people a place they can call home. Unlike any other newsletter or outdoor internet platform, Small Water Sportsman is a community of people who share a passion for being outdoors, enjoying nature, and conserving wildlife. Our goal is to gather and grow this special community of those who appreciate small and protected waters.

Our contributors share a broad selection of topics related to the outdoors. Industry niche experts, up-and-coming YouTube influencers, photographers, professional fishing guides, and nationally known outdoor writers make up some of the Small Water Sportsman’s contributors. Here, you will find content ranging from tips to start fly fishing, how to manage your pond’s fish habitat, how cheap lures measure up to expensive bait, how to prepare for duck season during the summer months, to the latest outdoor mishap videos.
