Since we had a major storm moving in today and I only had a few hours to fish I decided to do a tutorial on bank fishing. My target fish were crappie but I caught bass and catfish.

We headed to the lake today to do some crappie fishing, we hoped to find some crappie that had moved up shallow by fishing around lay-downs and beaver lodges.

The crappie was scattered really all over the lake today. I caught crappie in 20' of water and 5' of water and suspended it in 8-12' of water. The crappie I found in the middle of the cover was the nicer size crappie for the most part. I caught all fish vertical jigging hair jigs.

The crappie is moving into the coves but they are scattered. It will not be long before they are spawning. I caught the biggest fish over creek channels along the main lake and in the mouth of big coves.

The day start off slow for fishing but ended with a bang. When I left around three the fish were still biting. The bite picked up after lunch. Hair jigs in gray and white and black were the best colors. Fish were in the 8-14 foot range most were staging just outside the flats.

I headed to Kerr lake today, its been quite a while since I fished there. Since this was my first trip I had to figure out where the crappie was holding.To make a long story short, Look in the upper ends of creeks it 8-16 feet of water along creek channels and mouths of coves

After an amazing day of catching 3 double-digit basses, @Jon B. and I are after a few more lunkers under tough conditions. After a long day's work, I finally hook into one of these huge largemouths and feel a pull that rivals any big bass catch I've ever had!

After a harsh cold front in Texas. @Jon B. and I are going camping and bass fishing on OH where huge bass is selectively feeding up on shad. We are using umbrella rigs strung up with Googan Baits Saucy Swimmers to wind the depths for this giant bass.

We used our side scan and down imaging to find and locate the structure that was holding crappie. Once we located a likely spot we used Gamin Live -scope to get closer to the structure and vertical jig to catch crappie. We also cast lures to the same fish with some success.

The fishing day started slow but by the afternoon the crappie bite was on fire. Most all the fish were really nice size crappie. I caught my PB crappie today it was 15-3/4" long, my weight scale was broken and I could not weigh it but it probably weighed 2 1/2lbs or so. We kept fish today because we were going to have a fish fry.

The fish were biting good today. Most fish were caught casting curly tail lures to them. The crappie seemed to react better to a moving bait.

Today we used the live scope to spot and stalk big crappie in oped water. The bigger crappies were for the most part scattered, only once did I see three together.

We used the live scope to spot crappie out in open water today. We used double rig hair jigs to drop lures down to the crappie, Most of the crappie would at least come over and look at the lure so that was a good sign, at least they were not too spooky.
